Launch of the Women in Digital Economy Network (WiDEN) | December 2025
Women in Digital Economy Network (WiDEN) was launched as a collaborative initiative anchored at The Quantum Hub to strengthen women’s participation and leadership in India’s digital economy. The launch featured a keynote by Dr. Fauzia Khan, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, who emphasized the need to move beyond access toward sustained participation, skilling, and leadership for women across the digital ecosystem.
A dynamic panel featuring Arti Ahuja, Former Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment; Kanta Singh, Country Representative a.i., UN Women India; Ghita Harris-Newton, Senior Director - Public Affairs & Public Policy, Google; Rohit Kumar, then Head of Government Relations - India, Zoom; and Garima Rathore, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Microsoft, moderated by Aparajita Bharti, explored how collaboration can unlock equitable opportunities for women.

Celebrating Women’s History Month with YouTube under WiDEN | March 2026
WiDEN marked Women’s History Month with a convening in collaboration with YouTube, bringing together leading women content creators and key policymakers for a meaningful dialogue on the future of India’s digital economy.
The session featured an esteemed panel of policymakers, including Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, alongside Members of Parliament: John Brittas, Shashank Mani, Iqra Choudhary, Pushpendra Saroj, Gowaal K. Padavi, Sulata Deo, Mathukumilli Sribharat, and Priya Saroj.
The discussion centered on identifying policy interventions that can support aspiring content creators and enable the continued growth of India’s orange economy. This marks the first-of-its-kind dialogue under the WiDEN banner, fostering direct engagement between creators and policymakers.
